Something new...

I broke down and made a blog for myself.

There have been a lot of things I wanted to write about, but couldn't bring myself to do it because I felt weird putting them on a blog that's for me and Clint...You know, like discussing what's happening on the bachelorette or something like that ;) So this new blog will just be my girly blog.

I admit, I'm kind of (really) a perfectionist, so I didn't tell anyone about it until everything was how I wanted it... and in the meantime, I may or may not have already posted three posts. So come check out my new blog and let me know what you think.

I still plan on keeping things updated on this blog too, so stay tuned :]

And also... I got a new bike for Christmas. What a beauty.

In Honor of the Rivalry...

Let's go Utahhhh :]

...

I know I haven't updated in a while. A few things going on...

Finishing up another semester... 3 more to go for both of us!
We're both really enjoying our majors. That's always a plus.
Can't wait for Christmas. We're going to be getting mountain bikes. I've been wanting to start biking for a long time, so I'm super excited.
Had a great Thanksgiving with great family members. We're so blessed to have two great families that we're surrounded by.
A new nephew! Little Ethan.
I hear it's the most wondeful time of the year right now. I'd have to agree.
Clint has been going through a long application process for a border patrol job he really wants. He has done great on his test and interview... so we'll see what happens! Once we know more, I'll post the details of everything.
Counting down the days until Christmas... I started in October at 108 days I believe.
I bought some super cute boots. Just sayin.
We've been watching the O.C. on dvd... for the second time.
Did I mention I love Christmas?

Things I won't do when I have kids...

  • Put them in those squeaky shoes. They're pretty dang cute, but I don't want someone to have to smack my child when she's running around the store.
  • Get a minivan. I already told my sister she could smack me if I did.
  • Walk around the store, mall, airport or zoo with my kid on one of those child leashes.  When I was little I used to think, "Why hasn't my mom ever put one of those cool kids leashes on me?" I now know it's because she loves me.
Let's be honest here... is this really necessary?

  • Have a "baby on board" sign. That's just not happening... what are those even about?
  • Wear a shirt that says "kiss me I'm pregnant," "bun in the oven" or any of that nonsense. I would say the belly is enough to make it obvious that you're pregnant.
  • On that note... I won't be putting my baby in shirts with stupid sayings like, "If you think I'm cute, you should see my mom." And they won't be wearing any BYU attire either, that's just about as bad. Sorry Clint, but it's for the best for our children.
  • And lastly... you know those professional maternity pictures people get with their naked bellies? And you know when they put them up for the world to see on facebook or their blog? That will definitely not be me. Sorry but those just creep me right out. That's something you and your husband should appreciate.. Not your co-workers and boss that you're friends with on facebook.
I think that's about it on my parenting list. I would put my signature on the bottom if I could, so that it could be a contract that I was legally bound to. So instead I hope that anyone that reads this will just hold me to it. Especially the leash thing. Free the whales leash kids.

There's no place like home...

We've been home for about a month and a half and between school, work, and moving everything back in, we've stayed super busy!

The drive home was a long one- 23 hours. But Clint decided he wanted to drive the entire way. I wasn't going to argue with that, I hate driving and I didn't honestly think he would do it. But he did, and his reasoning was "Who can say they've driven 23 hours straight?" Ok, go get 'em buddy. Go get 'em.

Summer sales with APX was an awesome experience for both of us. We met some fun, new people and I loved learning new things from all the wives out there and being around their cute kids. We were also able to experience living in a different state, with different people. It's amazing how different it was from Utah. I've never realized how much I love this place until I left it for a few months. We were both so glad to be back in air that we could breathe in and where the humidity wasn't so intense that when you would breathe, you would blow out water bubbles instead of air. Not to mention, the Utah mountains have never been so beautiful :]

We recently got back from a trip to Lake Powell with our whole APX region. It was such a blast! We had 3 houseboats, some speedboats, tubes, wakeboards.. all that good stuff. They also hired chefs to cater the whole trip which was awesome. They took good care of us and it was so fun to meet all of the other people in our region. We got to do a lot of fun things like cliff jumping, camp fires and of course tubing and wakeboarding. Awesome trip with some awesome people.

I love this picture. He looks like such a little kid.

Can you believe that?!

Jord and I being buried

That's a lot of man on one tube I'd say

Some of the girls

I didn't even fall out on that one! It's so funny to watch the difference between girls and guys tubing. If one of us was falling out, we would all scream and try to grab her. With the guys, they cheered and tried to push each other off.

Boat ride

Girls again!

Look at that cheeseball

Jordan Volcano

Haha I love this picture

We have a year end party this coming weekend, and they hired the whole Nitro Circus gang to come. I'm pretty excited for that, so I'm sure pictures will come :]

Pictures Say Thousands...

I came across this picture today and couldn't not post it. We haven't had a chance to be around a lot of our family and friends since we've been married, so I just really want everyone to get a glimpse into how mine and Clint's family and household run. So here it is...

Hahahahahaha totally kidding. In the words of our neice Hannah, "I'mma boss."

ps this lovely couple will be home in FOUR days :D

Look Out Martha Stewart...

I fear a monster has been released this summer. And it's name is crafting. Actually, the monster started when I was little, but this summer the monster has re-released itself. All of the girls out here love to craft too, so it's like a monster on steroids between all of us.

I told Clint that I wanted to quit college and be a professional crafter, but he wasn't super fond of the idea. He gave me a look that said, "And I want to quit college and play in the NBA." Ok ok I get it.

Here are some of my projects :]

A baby girl tutu...
This project was so easy and fun to make. I can't wait to make them for people for baby showers and birthdays. I used pink, brown and cream for this one, but they look cute with basically any color. I would have put it on a baby to model it, but I don't have one of those yet.

Scrapbook pages for our wedding album...
Sadly, these are the only pages I have done. I better jump on that.

Necklaces...
I made both of these when I was in Salt Lake with my sisters and mom. The top necklace is scrapbook paper behind a little glass square (there's a heart, but you can't see it that well.) And the bottom necklace is just from stuff from the jewelry supply store. My sisters, mom and I all made matching ones of those.

And my favorite♥...

Aaaaaahh! I love it too much. I even named her Millie. This is the first real sewing project that I've done and I'm so excited about it. I bought all the fabric at JoAnn's and one of the girls out here helped me do it. I saw a little flower like that on a craft blog so I made my own to match the apron. I want to make a million aprons for everyone, I just love them so much. I'm thinking about selling them in the future, but we'll see. I seriously want to wear this to church, and school, and the store, and the gym, and on Christmas, and Easter, and Columbus Day...

Life is Good...

Just some fun pictures of things we have been doing lately

On a date night scooter ride...

A Cooking Competition...
Last Saturday all the wives got together and we had an Iron Chef competition. We split into two teams and had to draw out an ingredient we would all use to make an appetizer, main dish, side dish and dessert. The ingredient was heavy whipping cream (so healthy, I know). Our team's menu: Spinach artichoke dip on a baguette, green salad with homemade ranch dressing, Chicken Carbonara and triple berry ice cream. It was all so good and the competition was a blast. Part of the judging was on presentation, so I made those cute little cards to label all our food to make up for our lack of cute presentation dishes.

And a trip to Utah for my cousin's wedding...

Complete with getting my cute little Vietnamese grandpa out on the dance floor...
Some more dancing... Aren't Asian people cute?
And here's the pretty little bride herself.
And lots and lots of cute brown baby holding...
And the rest of the trip consisted of lots of family time...
Sister time.. with our boy Taylor Lautner
And a fun date with some of my best friends...

This summer is going great, but we're definitely excited to be back in Utah in one month to get our lives back to normal and be close to our friends and family. Not to mention the word y'all is getting unbelievably annoying. And that may even be an understatement.
